The days of "blind travelling" are over. I don't just take it as it comes when I travel haha. I used to be like that- thinking that I will always find a nice restaurant, or good coffee, or come up with a plan once there. But this way of doing things has failed a few times, so now I know exactly what I want to do. The good thing about this summer's road-trip is that I am spending a lot of time traveling in the car- and I have 3 like home, so I can use data everywhere. So I pretty much sit on the back seat, with a little notebook and I open Instagram, Pinterest and a bunch of blogs in order to make a plan for the nicest and coolest restaurants, coffee shops and sightseeing monuments I want to visit.
One of the restaurants on my list was The Seafood Bar in Spui. I stalked them on their website and Instagram and concluded that it is very photogenic and the food looks delicious. They also had a lot of good reviews on yelp so I though this place would be nice for our first dinner in Amsterdam. Needless to say, the food was amazing. Mom and Dad were absolutely exhilarated when they saw the fresh fish. My dad got a white fish with some potatoes, mom got French fish soup and I got a plate, where I had absolutely everything. I got some lobster, crab, shrimp, prawns, 5 or 6 different types of muscles, crab salad, oysters.... Insane! So so good. I think we will go back there before we leave this amazing city!
