Stockholm Weekend Getaway
The trip to Stockholm was a very spontaneous trip. Tad and I booked the tickets on a Wednesday and on Friday morning we were up in the air en route to Stockholm. Upon arrival we checked in at Miss Clara by Nobis, an amazing design hotel in the heart of Stockholm. The boutique hotel has amazing rooms, ours was on the top floor with a view of Stockholm. First of all I have to stress how amazing their beds are. The Bed Factory Sweden makes the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in! It is crazy how great the beds are haha! Sleeping at this hotel was an amazing experience! The stay was very comfortable, which was exactly what Tad and I needed to get a nice good rest and break from our busy Copenhagen lives.
Miss Clara Hotel has an amazing restaurant where we ate breakfast and dinner. It is a very cozy place with great food!
Tad and I have visited Stockholm before, so we didn't do much sightseeing. But we did walk around one of the days. There are many islands, which are connected by dozens of bridges in the city centre, we took a route through Gamla Stan to Söndermalm, which is a hipster-ish neighbourhood with a lot of small shops and cafes.
Next door to our hotel we found Giro's pizzeria, which had amazing food and drinks. And I really liked the interior in this place!
Our second and last night, there was a car show right in front of the hotel. Tad and I got drinks and sat outside at the restaurant's garden and watched all the amazing old american cars driving past.
Did you know that the metro in Stockholm is absolutely beautiful? If you are ever in Stockholm then go and explore the undergraound, because you will find beautiful metro stations and amazing artwork.
And this was a wrap! We enjoyed some nice coffee before leaving to the airport. Our flight was delayed by a few hours, which was really really annoying- but I guess that is what you get when booking evening flights! Overall this was an amazing and relaxing trip, and I can't wait to stay in this hotel again. Thankfully they are opening Miss Clara in Copenhagen as well, so I think a few times a month Tad and I will just rent a room there and enjoy a good nights sleep- to be honest it is cheaper than buying one of those beds haha!
